AC Sparta Praha - Czechia, Czech First League
Normally I would not choose a yellow kit as something I even want to look briefly at but this one is just the right colour for me. The burgundy pinstripes and shorts give enough dark tones to the bright base to draw the eye without looking muddled.

Manchester City F.C. - England, Premier League
Red and black shirts are common, but the gold accents and the diagonal stripes make this shirt pop. It helps itself by keeping the sleeves a solid black, which makes the shirt keep it’s organized shape.

Hellas Verona F.C. - Italy, Serie A
This is a perfect example of simple sometimes being best. This is a nice solid beige kit, but the colour, sides, and sleeve cuffs really just add enough to it to stop it from being dull and bring it to being classy. This is a kit that will look good for a long time because it doesn’t try to do too much.

West Ham - England, Premier League
I’m a sucker for a black kit. Black with white wording and details? That’s nice. Black, white, and a splash of colour? Now we are COOKING. This is a nice damn kit. The colours are just enough to stop this from falling in with every other black kit out there.

FC Basel 1893 - Switzerland, Swiss Super League
This one is similar to the Hellas Verona kit, but better. It still keeps that clean and classy look, but the details just add a bit more to it. The slight pattern across the chest represents the roof of the Basel Cathedral. While overall that detail wouldn’t mean much to me, the design does just enough to break up the solid colour without drawing away from it. The blue and red trim is a perfect compliment to the base colour as well.

PSG - France, Ligue 1
Jordan x PSG has come out with some good stuff. I love this kit for it’s commitment to the white and black. The black badge, the black trim, and the black sponsor all play into making this kit work to it’s goal of being stylish and functional. Because they use only the two colours it could feel boring, but because they’re two colours that work perfectly together this kit looks great.

Norwich City F.C. - England, Premier League
Daaaaaammmnnn that colour. I mean holy that is stunning. The gold trim on that dark dark red absolutely POPS. This thing is just beautiful, it doesn’t even look like it should be played in because it is that pristine. This is an absolutely gorgeous kit and would be near the top of any list. There are some absolutely amazing entry this years and it almost feels wrong to have this so low.

Hull City - England, EFL Championship
I love this kit. I would not be surprised if this climbs my rankings as the season goes on. All of this just feels like a kit from a bygone age. The pinstripes, the colourful trim, the sponsor, all of it. If you told me this was a kit from the 80s I would believe you. It just has such a feel of classic while not being tired at all. This thing is an absolute beauty.

Coventry City F.C. - England, EFL Championship
Oh yeah. That is some lovely purple right there. I mean damn this is an all purple kit without looking like a purple blob. Those thin yellow stripes breaking up the darker and lighter purple. The design in the darker parks. The chevrons on the shoulders. This thing is just absolutely built to draw the eye. This is my ideal version of a purple kit, and dang do I love purple. Unluky for them, there is only one colour palette that I like more for a kit and it comes in at number 1.

Palermo FC - Italy, Serie B
Hoooooooooooooooooo boy. Now that is what I’m talking about. The sleek black with those pink stripes and the pink collar and arm trim. The collar and arms having a gold finish. The club badge standing out even though the colour scheme is the same as the rest of the kit. This is how to do a pink kit without just relying on the “hey look this is pink!” as the whole bit. This is a very worthy best kit in a year of some really good kits.
Alright folks that is all! This is one of the most fun parts of the year, where I get to talk about some things I just like but could never afford to own. The beautiful dream of being rich enough to afford kits. See you for the home kits!
